Geological Modeling

Building
a geological model to integrate all the data, analysis and interpretation is the
third phase of the work flow process. In one particular
case, this might take the form of a predictive sedimentological model that
reflects the range and architecture of the depositional system making up the
reservoir and, from this, the distribution in time and space of reservoir
properties such as porosity and permeability. In another case
it could include integrating an understanding of the structural setting of
the reservoir and the impact this has had on the distribution of reservoir properties.
Tigress™ allows us to consider
the structural and lithological properties of the formation and facilitates
construction of a realistic volumetric reservoir model even with incomplete
data. The computer software often
points to high potential areas and the need for additional developmental work.
