3D Geomodeling
Once a depositional and structural geological model is established, this information is then transferred to a digital three dimensional environment through the use of Reservoir Modeling Solutions (RMS™) software. Fram Exploration geoscientists have established a proprietary method of converting the geological model constructed in Phase 3 to a full field-distribution 3D model in this phase.
Key to our success is the proactive use of computer capabilities to visualize the consequences of the geological understanding derived from the systematic data analysis in the previous phases. A series of scenarios can be generated to enable the geoscientist to better understand the subsurface challenges, and thereby reduce reservoir data uncertainty. This facilitates the optimization of reservoir development, production and economic recovery over time.
Fram’s modeling
approach enables well planning, reservoir simulation, and history matching (matching
previous reservoir performances to the current reservoir model) - for better insight
into future reservoir performance.
